Book Design of Graphic Designers in Japan

On Monday, I talked about the inspiring design book, Cesky Filumenisticky Design. Today, I want to talk about another PIE Book that I love. It is called Book Design of Graphic Designers in Japan. It displays the work of 16 renown book designers from 1960s Japan. It is lovely to see how the 1960s shaped Japanese design. The work is remincent of the best design from the West at the time (Paul Rand, Milton Glaser,, Germano Facetti, Saul Bass, ), but with unique and refreshingly different Eastern twists.
