Photographer Michael Schmelling

Michael Schmelling is a superb lifestyle/photojournalist photographer living in Brooklyn. I was introduced to his work a couple of years ago by a friend (who used to be his childhood neighbor) and I have watched his work ever since. He has a frank, poetic, fly-on-the wall style that I crave in photography. His clients include many magazines, record labels, book publishers and design studios. Some of his best know work can be seen in the Wilco book and on their album A Ghost Is Born.
