Vintage matchboxes

Designer Jane McDevitt of Maraid Design has collected hundreds of vintage Eastern European matchboxes with a wide range of images from the Soviet space race to radios, transporation and domesticity. Culled mostly from the 1950s and 60s, the designs show incredibly economic uses of color often printed in just two colors.
