Interview with the Iconic Dave McKean
Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast was lucky enough to do an extensive interview with one of my favorite, yet incredibly illusive, contemporary artists, Dave McKean. His work is incredibly well-crafted, insanely involved and he has managed to span every visual medium I know from comic books to animation and film. Interspersed throughout the article are literally dozens of his pieces: tarot card imagery, book covers, graphic novels, poster, CDs, film stills, graphic novels and more. Dave's work is amazing and truly inspiring. He is able to play around so well with focus and the levels where the materials and their use are obvious. I'm not sure how to really to describe it.
