Dust off your Digital Portfolio

I've been talking with people recently about the addition of a portfolio option to LinkedIn. Yes, it does let you put all your info, both visual and written, into one place but is it too... I don't know, blah? The Portfolio display is powered by Behance so if you already have an account with them, it may be a quick way to add your content to LinkedIn.

If you're looking for an alternative to the LinkedIn/Behance portfolio, why not try out Carbonmade? They offer two hosting plans. One is free, the Meh plan and allows you to create 5 projects, populate them with up to 35 images and even upload flash files. If you need more space the Whoo! plan (for $12/mo) allows up to 50 projects, 500 images, 10 high quality videos, and your own custom domain name.

Does anyone recommend other services for portfolio hosting or is it still best to post your portfolio on a personal site?
