Rex Ray: Artist and Designer

SanFrancisco artist, Rex Ray recently published a book of his work Rex Ray: Art and Design with Chronicle Books along with a gift line including blank books, note cards and address book. Douglas Coupland wrote the introduction to the book.

Chronicle Books includes a video of Rex talking about his work with a peek at his process as well. He says he thinks his collage work is not his most popular work but its my favorite work. I love everything he does and hearing about his process is very inspiring.

His work is made up of cut paper collage. There is detail on his site about his process as well as "time lapse" photos of one of his larger peices. His work is beautifully detailed, yet simple and timeless at the same time.
