Painted Typography by Darren Booth
There is no information on his site to clarify explain or place his work into any context but that doesn't change the extraordinary quality of Darren Booth's hand painted lettering designs. His work has been used in an assortment of recent publications (New York TImes Magazine, Bilboard, and the Chicago Tribune) so some wise art directors are throwing him work. He's also won a TDC Award and a CA award.
As a lettering geek, I'd love to know more about his process (digital retouch? goauche? etc..). Maybe he'll grant P+P an interview?
[Once again, Modern Craft is totally on top of the good stuff.]
